The son of the late Dalton L and Mary Elizabeth Jones Conway, James was born October 16, 1945 in Ardmore and  passed away December 10, 2022.


Jim was a lifelong resident of Ardmore and was a heavy equipment operator for Lake Murray State Park and retired after 33 years of dedicated service.  Jim also enjoyed hunting and Harley motorcycles.  He loved his classic rock and roll and was one of the coolest men you would ever meet.


James is survived by his wife Patsy, daughter Wendy Conway, son James Ray Conway and his wife Jennifer, sister Joyce Hodgeson, brothers, Charlie, Larry, Marvin and Willie Conway; grandsons Cody and Jesse Conway and great grandson Ridge Conway.  His brother V.D. Conway preceded him in death.


A Gathering of Remembrance for Jim will be held on Friday, December 16, at 4:00 p.m. in the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel.
