I was at the service today. It was clear to me that all of Jim's great qualities -- and Adrienne's too -- live on in their three children.

It is with total shock that I have just read the news of the death of Jim. What a lovely chap he was. A pleasure to work and to have as company. Very professional, reliable and full of energy and fun. He was very much part of the building of the very successful US Fleming Investment team and business. My best wishes and condolences to his family.

Jim was universally liked and respected at Flemings so it is wholly appropriate that so many of the diaspora of former employees have recorded their sadness on hearing of his death. He was an able and unselfish colleague, a good and loyal friend and was just such fun to be with at work or play.

I loved meeting Jim at The Causeway Club and am very sorry to hear about his death. He was so obviously a wonderful person. I had always hoped that he and Nicky would come play golf at Royal St George’s and Sunningdale. So Nicky, I hope you come. My condolences to your family. You can reach me on [email protected]

Saddened to learn of Jim’s passing, way too soon. He was a true gentlemen with a warm smile and a great sense of humour.
My sincere condolences to his family.
