James A. Cook, 81, a former resident of Tiverton, Rhode Island, husband of the late Eva (Towers) Cook, died on Monday, August 6, 2001. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 9, 2001, 5-8 p.m., at Pocasset-Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 462 Main Road, Tiverton. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 10, 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pocasset Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Pocasset-Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Tiverton, Rhode Island.

Many fond memories of Jim and crazy times down in the teachers' room in IA at Tiverton High, plotting and scheming all kinds of things! I remember once Jim asking me to "fill him in" on some classical music stuff for a course he was taking at RIC. He came over one afternoon and I cramed a couple of centuries of "culture" into him.
