Not sure what to say?

We were in Leadership Atlanta together and Jim struck me as an ethical and moral man, I dont remember others from Leadership Atlanta but I do remember Jim. Know you all will miss him, he was a fine man.

Although I did not know Jim personally, as a Deloitte alumni from NC, I remember Jim spending time with our practice even as he was being promoted within the Firm. Jim gave his retirement speech during the first global partner meeting I attended. You could have heard a pin drop as we all listened. I always had the utmost respect for Jim and am so sorry to hear of his passing.

I have known Jim professional since 1980. He was a great supporter of Georgia State University and in particular the School of Accountancy. He was an illustrious graduate of our accounting program and was a most recognizable person in Atlanta and even throughout the accounting world.

Jim hired me in 1980 to join his Small Business team. He was a great leader and I learned a lot from him during my time with the team. He and Pat always remembered me during the holidays while I was working with him. I was honored to know him and my thoughts and prayers are with Pat and the rest of his wonderful family.

With heartfelt sympathy for your loss may there be comfort in knowning god.John 17:3

My God Blees you at this difficult time.
Jim was a very close Sigma Nu Fraternity brother at GSU and we remained friends all these years. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed, but always remembered and admired.

I am so sorry for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" (Isaiah 61:1, 2) sustain your family during this challenging time. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

Please know that your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I had privilege and honor to work with Jim while managing partner for the Atlanta office. Since beginning my career at Deloitte in 1985, Jim was one of my mentors as I grew up in the firm. Not only did I admire his work ethic and leadership skills, I was inspired by his strong faith, love for Atlanta, and his commitment to family. Again, honored to have known and worked with Jim.

Jim was a great man and I learned much from him when we worked together in the Deloitte Global Office on the Global New Partner Seminar, Deloitte's first Global Competency Model, the integration of Andersen partners into Deloitte, and our response to 9/11.

I recall from previous discussions with Jim that he was a man of great faith and was not surprised to learn he taught Sunday school and Bible study for 40 years; I will remember this when I pray for him and the Copeland family.
