Don was a great man and a heck of a trial lawyer. It was a pleasure to know him and to work with him. He will be missed. My heart goes out to Coleman and the whole family.

My prayers for Don and sincere condolences to his family. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with him as a result of a litigation matter that gave me the opportunity to visit Raleigh and Wilmington many, many times. And the time spent with Don allows me to state that every tribute to him is very well-deserved.

My sincere condolences to the family of Don Cowan. I had the unique pleasure of working with Don during my years as HR Director at Smith Helms Mulliss & Moore. Don was a superb lawyer and a great person to work with. He went out of his way to know each person even those he didn't work directly with. Great man! May he rest in peace.
