Yes, Dr. Cowan truly must have passed on so many qualities to his son Jim. Humility, kindness and warmth certainly define Jim for us. We are sorry we could never meet Dr. Cowan. We are all feeling for you as you mourn and celebrate your dad's life.

With our love,

My prayers are with you and your family.Great memories from Dublin High School time with Gaye & james.

Our thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt sympathies go to you all.
May God bless you and see you through this difficult time.

Dr Cowan was a wonderful man. I worked for him for 22 of his 24 years in Big Spring. I could not have ask for a better person to work for. I miss working with him, I miss his smile and sense of humor.I miss his whistle that always told me he was there and it was time to get busy.
He was very proud of his children and loved his family so much.
Gaye I can't tell you how many times I have heard him say Gaye is my first wife my one and only true love.
I loved and respected him as a...

Great memories of "Uncle Buddy" will be with me forever. My deepest sympathy to all.

Jim was a wonderful cousin and we all loved him dearly. I can still remember him calling our Dad "Unk" and how much fun we had growing up.
Our hearts goes out to Gaye and the Kids. May our Lord be with you during this difficult time. Love to all of you.

The Raper family in Richmond, Virginia (William Taylor's sister Martha) sends their love and support. What a wonderful tribute to your dad. I wish I could have known him. But I think that I must know some of him in Jim! His sense of humor, his intellegence, his faith in God, his warmth. He lives on. I hold you close during this time and I am glad that I met you all last February.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.
