Not sure what to say?

Adele, Claire, Irene, and Marianne, and all of your extended families - we're so sorry to learn about Jim's passing. Your family has always been so close, and so kind, to our Clark family - we grew up together in a wonderful place and time. Blessings and much love to you all.

This obituary is a beautiful tribute. Thank you for writing it and sharing the story of his life with so many. My condolences to Jim's family.

my dear pam and jane. you had an amazing dad. I"m thinking of you.

I was a good friend of Jim from youth to post Korean War and we shared many adventures as teens. He will always be in my memories.

Dianna, Jim & Ann

While I only met him once, I feel like I've known him forever through the stories shared by coworkers and friends. I will forever be grateful for his kindness, generosity and humor which I can still feel every day working in the conservation lab that he designed. His many "Jimisms" will awlays be remembered, and when someone asks me how did I manage to complete a complex project I'll say: “With charm, personality, good looks, and manual dexterity.” Just like Jim used to... Rest in peace, Jim.

A wonderful tribute to a wonderful man. I always enjoyed coming down from the Archives of Michigan with some map, and once the 1835 Michigan Constitution for restoration. He was graciousness itself. My condolences to the family and all the many who admired this great man.
