Not sure what to say?

Rosalie and Family,

We just heard about Jim's passing. We are so very sorry for you loss. Jim was a great guy and we both thought so much of him. We will keep you all in our prayers.

Sincerely,

Dave and Brenda Coleman

I was so saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He was such a wonderful person with a positive attitude and infectious smile, He made an impression on everyone he met.
I first met Jim when I was a teenager and he came into my life when I needed someone like him. For many years he was like a father I didn't have.
To his wife and family, you are in my prayers and may God guide you through this difficult period and know you will see him again. Everyone who had the opportunity to meet and...

I wish to extend to, the Crawford family, my deepest condolences.
I met Satch in early 1972 when I started working for the City. Thought he was a great guy.
Over the years we would cross paths. As the time passed, and through work more often than both may have cared to count.
After we both retired I would keep up on him and how things were going from your neighbor Mike.
May God bless.
Joe Pratt FWPD Ret.

To the Crawford Family my deepest condolences. Satch was a great guy. I met him at the downtown YMCA after arriving in Fort Wayne in 1964. He also had encouraging words to say.

To the Crawford Family: I'm so blessed to have met Cousin James at the family reunion in Detroit, Michigan. He was such a nice person. At the time my father was in the hospital battling cancer. To this day I've never forgotten his words of encouragement because I was having a really hard time coping. You all are in my prayers and if there is anything we can do, please don't hesitate to call. Sorry I couldn't be there today with my aunts, Cynthia & Petie to extend my condolences for such a...

To the Crawford family. I am very sorry for your loss. In the end you will be with him again. Remember he smiles down on you, and is no longer in pain. Be strong for each other this is a hard time for all.

One of the best times that I remember is when "Satch" would bring in his chocolate chip cookies. I always suspected he might have misrepresented who really made them, but they were delicious. :) He was a great man, with a wonderful heart. I will always remember his infectious smile and laugh. Thoughts and prayers are with the family.

TO THE CHILDREN OF JAMES "SATCH" CRAWFORD JR. WE THE CHILDREN OF THE LATE REV. DR. CORNELIOUS E. AND LADY ELSIE M. WALKER, WISH TO EXTEND OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY DURING THIS...YOUR TIME OF BEREAVEMENT. WE KNOW TO WELL THE PAIN THAT YOU ARE FEELING AT THIS TIME. BUT REST ASSURED THAT GOD KNOWS BEST! AND WHEN YOU ARE FEELING LONELY, HE WILL BE THERE TO COMFORT EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU. JIM, NAT, GORDON...BE STRONG. FOR WEEPING MAY ENDURE FOR A NIGHT, BUT JOY WILL COME IN THE MORNING

Althought it's been many many years, I
can't help but remember your great
spirit of encouragement and kindness
to me as a 11 year old boy. I was
so awed and proud of you going from
work at the YMCA as a towelman to
detective at the Fort Wayne Police
Department. My prayers are with
your family and may you have found
peace with God.
