Condolences to Mickey and the Crouch family on Claude's death. We can't imagine the pain of losing both parents in such a short time period. They -- and all of you -- are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Jude, Michael and Claudette,
So sorry to hear about your dad passing away. It has many years since I saw him. He visited mom in the nursing home while I was visiting her before she passed away. I have very many fond memories of your family, especially your dad and mom and Mary Ann. I remember when you lived just down the street from us in Powderly and we spent many Sunday afternoons making ice cream. Those were good times.

He called the VFW post and requested a flag. I got him one, but assumed he wanted it for his room. He wanted it for the flagpole at the entrance of St. Martin's because he couldn't stand the way the other one looked. He saw a problem, and took the initiative to fix it. Now that's a vet!
