Not sure what to say?

There was a time when the world felt too heavy for my shoulders when the noise at school and the silence at home both hurt in their own ways. It was during those times, without needing to explain or ask, that I found myself at the door of Mr. Crow´s office. Mr. Crow wasn´t just a school staff member. He wasn´t just a principal or counselor or any box you could check. He was something else entirely. A calm harbor in a storm. His office always smelled faintly like coffee and old books. There...

Mr.Crowe , I graduated 1988 , from McCormick , he was a hero , saved the little children when he lifted the car.

I googled James Crowe because I was looking for my 8th grade teacher.....who I loved as a teacher at George W. Dewey School at 54th and Union in Chicago.....I'm not sure if this was him. However, I'm very sorry for your loss. Patricia Boldrey Barnes

I pray that God continues to Bless and comfort the family of Mr. Crowe. I thank God for the caring person that Mr. Crowe was, especially to children. He showed us and gave us hope for a great future.

My deepest condolences to the Crowe Family. I was a former student of McCormick Elementary while Mr. Crowe was the principal. My family was one of those families who were not so fortunate. His kindness and generosity was so very appreciated and will always be remembered. I'm just sorry I didn't get the chance to say thank you personally to him.

Mr. Crowe is surely the most wonderful boss anyone could ever have. When he retired from McCormick we immediately felt the void. He was just awesome! We had a lot of fun times with him. I'll never forget how myself and a few co-workers actually taped him in his office with masking tape. We taped the door shut, as a prank of course. Then we asked the office to call him out into the hallway...he couldn't get out! Not for long as he pushed through the tape like superman! We had even more to...

He was like a second father to me growing up. My heart goes out to Katie, Maggie and my best friend growing up, James Jr.. So many wonderful memories, not the least of which were our annual excursions to St. Louis, Great America, the car & van shows, and the train collector's show. What other father would take his kids and their friends to a Journey concert and love every minute of it? He was simply the best.

I am privileged to have met him, although only once. From what I know, Mr. Crowe was the foundation of strong family ties and good character. God Bless.

A Truely Lovely Man
