I came across the article in the news. My heart is broken for Jim family. I am so deeply sorry. The Daly's were a big part of my life in my 20's. May God comfort you all.

It is with great sorrow to hear of officer Daly' s death.
My daughter is CPD...and I pray that the Lord protects and lends HIS mercy.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Jim at JCPenney in Lombard and Schaumburg. He was a great employee and friend. He was always willing to help others and he was very dependable. I remember how lucky I thought the City of Chicago was for having him as one of their police officers. Though I haven't seen Jim in many years, I still feel the loss. May he rest in peace.
