James Edward Daniels Of Greenville, WV James Edward Daniels, 78, of Greenville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, from Logan Regional Medical Center, after an extended illness. He was born on February 2, 1936, at Three Forks in Logan County, the son of the late Rev. Horace and Flora Johnson Daniels. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Hester Johnson; his paternal grandparents, Rev. Houston and Ellen Daniels; three brothers, Jack Daniels, Johnny Daniels, and Billy Daniels; four sisters, Phyllis (Jimmy) Greene, Nancy Browning, Brenda Daniels Bailey, and Mary Montgomery; one half-brother, Richard Daniels; three uncles, Port Daniels, Carl Daniels, and Earl Kennedy; and his sister-in-law, Janet Daniels. James was a 1955 graduate of Man High School. After graduation he worked in the office at Amherst Coal Company for several years, he then worked for the WV Liquor Commission at their Man store until he was disabled. He was a Christian and member of the Hunt Freewill Baptist Tabernacle. James enjoyed photography, singing in church, and studying the Bible. He was a member of START at Man. Those left to cherish his memory are two brothers, Harold "Pete" (Jerrie) Daniels of Brighton, MI and Mike Daniels of Canton, MI; three sisters, Carol (Richard "P.J.") Brown of Greenville, Ruth (Jerry) Perry of Accoville, and Judy (Kenny) Workman of Kistler; his namesake, James Edward "Jim Ed" (Lisa) Perry of Oakwood Addition; and many other nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014, at the Hunt Freewill Baptist Tabernacle at Hunt with Rev. Mike Johnson and Brother Robert Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday evening at the Hunt Freewill Baptist Tabernacle and one hour prior to services. Pall bearers will be his nephews and brothers-in-law. Honorary pall bearers will be Joey Corns, Danny Browning, Tommy Crosby, Phillip Collins, Larry Collins, and Robert Perry. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
