Although it was a long time ago during our high school days, I've never forgotten what a great friend you are to everyone you meet. May God be with your family through their devastating loss. I am a better person for having known you. I'll always remember you smiling on that baseball field! RIP Jay, or as I knew you in high school "Jamie".

Hello Mr.Davis, remember me, it's Roosevelt Cotton? I will never forget you or your kindness; thanks for helping me get a foot in the door with the STLMSBL. I'm a little teary and in shock because I just saw you barely even a month ago when I congratulated you and your team for this past 1st place season. I'm proud to have had the chance to meet and play with you. I never told you this; however, you and your 1st place team always pushed me all season long to want to play better and I was a...

Jay was a special person. He was good-hearted, patient, kind and he had a peaceful nature. I always looked forward to talking to Jay on any subject in the few years I worked with him at Boeing. I was so deeply sorry to hear of your great loss. I will miss Jay and I will never forget him. I am the better for having known him.

Although Jay will be missed by many, his passion for life (and baseball) has been passed on to his boys. He will live forever in the hearts of all that knew him. God bless Jessica and give her the strength to make it through this difficult time.

The man! In so many ways! Looking forward to seeing you again brother... save a seat next to the dugout in the big stadium in the sky bro! I will see you again...

Jay,

What you brought to the table for baseball in the St. Louis area is unmatched. I remember when Chris Schrick brought you to our Lake Saint Louis MSBL team and I new you were a special player. Not just your skills and knowledge on the diamond, but your demeanor as well on and off the field. I remember when you formed the Spikes and what you have done with that group of men tells a lot about you. You were a great leader who was well respected and people just liked to be associated...

Jay was a great friend and one of the most amazing people I have ever met. It's so sad to have lost Jay so soon. Jessica, not sure if you remember me but Jay made my life in tough time much better and he was always willing to give me a great advise, I just wish I had the time to tell him how much I apreciated everything he did for me. In this tough time I can just say that we can all feel happy to have been in so many ways part of Jay's life. Love you Jay forever! Thanks buddy for all the...

Jay,
As odd as this sounds I agree with Steves' sentiment, a book or one sentence can never fully show what a truly great man you were.
Personally I still can not thank you enough for allowing me to find my love of baseball again, had it not been for you open invitation to play for the spikes 7 years ago I would have long forgotten the game.
You allowed all of the spikes to become family, enjoying ups and downs, trials and tribulations with both our games on the field and helping all...
