Not sure what to say?

Walt was a great Marine, a superb Commander, and a good friend. We had many shared experiences that I will always remember fondly. Walt was a rock, always there for you. He is missed. Kathy and I keep Susan & Meredith in our prayers.

Take your rest, sir; we have the watch...Semper Fidelis!!

It was a pleasure to know and serve with Walt when we were both stationed in Quantico. My condolences to Susan and family.

A true American hero and scholar warrior! One of the finest Marines and gentleman I had the pleasure of knowing. He will be missed but definitely he won't be forgotten. RIP Marine, Semper Fi.

Walt Davis was one of the finest men I ever served with! He was a Commander that everyone admired and enjoyed! Our Corps was incredibly blessed by his long years of service! Our Nation has lost a true Hero and Patriot! GOD Bless You Brother!

So sorry for you loss Meredith and Tom. Our condolences, Meg and Jon Manlove

Walt was one of those few men you meet who are a warrior and a scholar; whose intellect, integrity and morality are unmatched by even fewer. A true gentleman. I considered him a friend. He will be missed.

Walt was one of the best guys I knew. I loved his sense of humor, we were the two "old guys" of the 2d Div when we served together as BnCmdrs. He will be missed. Prayers for him and Susy

Sorry to hear of his passing. He was my Battalion Commander at 2nd LAR in Camp LeJeune. He was a great man! He will be missed. Semper Fi Sir
