June 23

I just discovered the news of the passing of 'Cousin' Marvin and wish to add my condolences for the family. Though I had not see him since I was a child, our family connection through his father - my much loved Great Uncle Clyde who was my grandmother's brother - has kept him in the fond memories I have of my Grandmother's family. My prayers are with the family as they grieve.

Phyllis Cole Tadlock -

Words can not express how sorry I am for the loss of "Mr. Dean," as my son & I remember him by. I also can not say how sorry & regretful I am that I was not at the funeral. I had no idea until today when I received something in the mail. I was & am still stunned. My thoughts & prayers are with all members of Mr. Dean's family & I hope & plan to meet many of you very soon. Sincerely, Carrie Booker & my son Curry Cappel

Orin and Marvin Nov. 2009

I am so glad Orin and I had opportunity to visit with Marvin last Nov. Marvin made a trip to visit us in Missouri one summer and we took him to a drive-thru cave. Orin will miss talking about all those memories of the barge line. He will be missed.

Our thoughts and condolences are extended to cousin Marvin and his family. He was such a gentleman. Our family would enjoy his company at picadilly from time to time and we will miss him.

My life was far richer for having such a wonderful Uncle -- a fun loving, warm-hearted man, who will be missed by many. God bless!
