Not sure what to say?

Jim taught me how to be a therapist. He was my therapist when I was a seminary student in San Diego. His support and guidance provided me with insight to be successful in a rigorous academic setting. After leaving the seminary and becoming a therapist myself, I use Jims wisdom and apply it toward my clients. I often reflect on his highly ethical and professional and compassionate manner. I love Jim DeLeo. His memory is a blessing.

One of the best teachers and supervisors during my graduate school tr

Dr. DeLeo was one of my favorite and most admired professors I had the pleasure to study under at CSPP - San Diego between 1987-1993. I was enamored with Existential Psychology and Dr. DeLeo was a mentor; incredibly knowledgeable about the bigger picture of how Existential Psychology fit into Human Psychology as a whole. He was blessed with wisdom, insight and depth. I still think of him often and just ran across his name while retiring my own license on the CA Board of Psychology...

Dear Barbara,
I am very sorry for your loss. From the obituary, I could tell your husband was a very special man. May his memory bring you consolation.

My condolences to Barbara and the rest of Jim's family. He meant a lot to me and changed my life.

Jim introduced me to the interaction between Wolfgang Pauli (one of the creators of Quantum Mechanics) and Carl Jung (one of the two major figures in Depth Psychology). The two were convinced that the weirdness of QM and the "collective unconscious" of Jungian psychology were somehow connected. They never proved it, but I believe they were right ... we just don't have the right language...

Sorry to hear of Dr. DeLeo's passing. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to his family. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope. And, that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us. In the days to come may you find comfort in that hope.

Aunt Mary's wedding 9/4/49

Jim was the oldest of our Sconzo cousins, the first to serve, the first to go to college, the first to leave Long Island, and the only one to earn a PhD. From the Massapequa Zoo to the Messiah at Hofstra, I have many fond memories. He kindly made many calls to my mother, sister to his mother, over the years and she sends her love, as do we.
