A retired Philadelphia Sergeant and founding member of St. Anselm Church. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Bertsch). Loving father of James J. Jr. (Anastasia), Rev. Joseph Devlin, Megan P. Devlin, Bridget K. Devlin and Sean (Mary). Pop to Kaitlyn, Shannon, Moira, Sean, Kelly and James. Brother of Charles (Ethel), Patricia (John) Peacock and Kathleen Devlin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Saturday 10 AM at St. Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Rd., Phila., PA 19154 followed by his Funeral Mass 11:30 AM. (Celebrated by his son Rev. Joseph Devlin). Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to Little Sisters of the Poor, 5300 Chester Ave. Phila., PA 19143.
