Not sure what to say?

Jim ("Rev") as we called him was a great influence in my life and many of my friends during his serving at Rosewood Reformed church in Jenison MI. He was one of the best pastors I had ever worshipped with. He led me back to Christ and will always be a man I admire. I met and married my wife in his church. He was a fabulous friend and influence on all of us "kids" growing up back then. We will miss him forever.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Rev. DeWiitt. Our family deeply enjoyed his sermons and loved how animated and engaging he was. Our children always looked forward to going up front of the church for the children's sermon or lesson each week. We will never forget his wonderful storytelling capabilities that always left you with a lesson learned. RIP, Reverend Jim.

Carle, Lucy and I want to send our sincere condolences to you and your family, please know you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Bob Sitterly

Rev. Jim was a well liked man by everyone here in the Mohawk, NY Reformed Church, where he served as our pastor from 1994 until 2001. My wife and I thought the world of him and know that he will be very much missed by everyone he touched. Rest in Peace Pastor Jim, we will never forget you. Bob & Lucille Sitterly

So many memories of family and fun at the lake. Thinking of you all.

Both Mike and I have wonderful memories of Reverend Dewitt- in fact, we still have one of his albums : ) Our prayers are with you Dirk, Vicki and Julie.

I have fond memories of Jim's sermons where he would dress and act out the part as a biblical character. Excellent pastoral skills! My condolences to Carle and to Vicki and Dirk.

The message of Jim's passing on into Heaven, is received with both Joy and sadness of a very dear friend on this earth. As a friend and a Pastor, Jim impacted my life deeply. The years pass and connections give some separation. But a Man and Pastor such as Reverend Jim, have left a lifelong impact with both Spiritual Nurturing and Smiles of fun times shares in life.

Will always remember him who was a great pastor & a great guy. Will always remember him singing the Lords prayer. Our thoughts & prayers go out to the family.
