Lin,
I don't have any magic words to ease your grief over the loss of Jim. When I tell people about Jim Diehl I share that he could take a 5 minute story, turn it into 30 minutes and by the time he was finished you couldn't breathe because you were laughing so hard. I hope the laughter and joy he brought to your life stays with you always.
Continued love and prayers.

Lin I still chuckle when I remember the story of you guys wanting to go to the Grand Canyon and had planned to go by burro down to the bottom and Jim was too heavy for the little burros to carry and how he pretended to rant and rave. There were many times that Jim made me laugh, he had such a magnetic personality. He will be so missed. I know this past year and a half had been so hard on both of you. Jim handled his cancer with such courage and I know how hard that can be. Jim has gone...

Please accept my condolences. May your faith and hope in the scriptures (Hebrews 11:1) help you to endure. Your family and friends are in my prayers.

Lin - I only knew Jim through your eyes, but what a wonderful man you saw!I cannot imagine what it feels like to lose your husband and your best friend at the same time - it breaks my heart for you. Like someone told me when I lost my parents, your sad memories will fade and your happy memories will shine. You know we are here for you. God bless.

Lin,
As you know, Jim and I have been members of a close circle of friends from the time we were 12-13, but there is no way to know the depth of your loss and pain. Those friends have shared with each other many rememberances of Jim in the last few days, and they echo the words of other guests who have already signed this book. But, I wish to add this simple thought. Jim was always ready to travel the extra mile from his home to get together with his friends when we were young (and...

Lin, I know there is nothing to say except I'm so sorry. I am profoundly saddened at the loss of Jim. He was bigger than life and there is a void in the universe. I'll never forget him dancing with me to "Felix Navidad" and gripping about buying me lemonade all the time in PV! I rejoice that we had him in our lives, grieve that it's over for now and rejoice that we'll be together again. May the thoughts and prayers of all your friends and the comfort of God's Holy Spirit be with you now.

I had the pleasure of working with Jim for several years at the Modesto Pampers plant. Jim ALWAYS had a great attitude and would calmly work through any problems. He made the place better. He will be missed.
