James C. Donham

James C. Donham, age 59, of Alliance, died at 11:47 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at his home. He was born June 5, 1948 in Ravenna to Ernest and Helen (Stewart) Donham. James was a 1966 graduate of Southeast High School in Edinburg, Ohio and was formally employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam Era in Thailand. Survivors include his wife Margaret "Peggy" (Sohar) Donham whom he married May 4, 1968; daughters, Stephanie Donham of Akron and Joy Donham of the home; brother, Melvin (Sue) Donham of Ravenna; sisters, LaDona (Paul) Gbur of Lowellville, Ohio and Beatrice Ross of Alliance. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William and John Donham and sisters, Karen Beckett and Patricia McMahon. Services will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 1:45 p.m. with Dan Vaughn officiating. Family will receive friends from 1-1:45 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Palmyra Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alliance Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, 885 S. Sawburg, Alliance, Ohio, 44601.
