Not sure what to say?

I just learned that Dr. Jim passed away. My heart is cracked a bit knowing this and I'm weeping. I'm so very sorry for you, the family, that may be reading this. I remember so many beautiful appointments where I was taught how to handle my mental health, teenage hormones, and my issues withtin. I will miss his laugh most of all. The ability of it to make you feel at ease and jubilant was infectious and life giving. I hope you all continue to fill this world with the life and exuberance that...

I just found out that Jim passed last year. He will be so missed. I had the immense pleasure of knowing Jim when he worked at Thomason Hospital in El Paso, Texas. Our friendship continued over the years. He did let me know he had some health problems. Only wish I could have talked to him one more time. He was a great story teller and a great friend. Rest in peace.

Jim Donovan was one of the most gifted psychiatrists I ever had the privilege to work with. He did a rotation on the Geriatric Unit of CDPC and I was blessed to get to know him personally. The profession of psychiatry and more importantly, the world, has lost a wonderful , compassionate, and soul. Tony C

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. So sorry for your loss .. I just heard I'm here if you need an ear ...

I felt like Dr. Donovan was a kindred spirit with me from the first time I met him. He understood me from my inner soul to my outward shell. The artist's spirit. He has been and probably will be the only doctor who ever gets me. He listened to me, was interested in me, talked back and forth with me, and I'll miss him SO MUCH! A treasure has been lost from this world but gained up in heaven.

Enjoyed working with Dr. Donovan in his Liverpool office. He was very good with his patients and he was very helpful in leading the way for me with the office patients.

He was great to me when I needed a compassionate caregiver. He was great to me in late adolescence and early adult hood.Only Jim could understand the intricacies of an ethnically mixed family in the restaurant business. My mom always loved coming because they´d exchange "state secrets" of each families restaurants....He saved me in a way, and I miss his charm and wit. They really don´t make physician who specialize in Mental health like him. I thought about him on Christmas, today, and I´ll...

To Jose: I just learned of Jim´s passing after having tried to reach him on what would have been his birthday. Truly a sad day for everyone but especially for you and William. May you find solace in remembering those best moments together over those many years.

I am so saddened to hear of Dr. Donovan´s passing. An amazing doctor, friend, and joke teller. Rest easy, Dr. Donovan... I will miss you dearly. Thoughts and prayers to your family during this difficult time.
