Not sure what to say?

Jim was my baseball coach growing up for a bunch of years and he gave me some of the best memories of my life. His Sons are great people and they also played on team. His whole family are great people. It still bothers me that we lost such a great man.

What has it been since Jim left us, 12 or 13 years? And still I think of him often and I miss him, I think that will never change. I’m grateful for the time I had knowing him, being friends with him and learning from him. I hope he’s resting in peace, he was a good man.

I first met Jim Dooley at Manhattan College as we were both Math majors. He helped me out in my preparation for a Linear Algebra final. Even back then he was a giving person. Years later, I was an Adjunct at Mercy where our paths again crossed. To complete the cycle, he advised my son who was a 2005 graduate. You could see this was a committed educator who made a profound difference in people's lives. My condolences to his family and be assured that he will always be in my...

I can't believe it's been almost a year before I found out about the professor's passing. I just want to extend my condolences to the family. I thank God that I was able to tell Prof. Dooley what a great person he was and how much I enjoyed taking him class.

Dear Family,

I was a student of Professor Dooley. I just found out about your loss and I'm truly sorry. He was a great professor, who really helped me to understand the content in its simplest form. I remember wanting to give him a card, before the last class, letting him know how much I appreciated him for taking the time to teach me. I never got around to giving him the card, even though I personally thanked him and expressed my gratitute. I remember his smile and facial...

On behalf of my family (myself, my wife Pat, our son Rob, and our daughter Melissa) we offer our prayers and extend our deepest sympathy to the Dooley family. We will always remember with the fondest of memories the times when we shared little league baseball coaching duties with Jim and Ray Dawson for five straight seasons. They were wonderful times and that is how we will remember Jim. May God rest his soul and may Jim's family find comfort in one another and through the memories of those...

Dear family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I just found out about it today. I was a student of Professor Dooley’s for many years. I actually started with him as my teacher 20 years ago. He was the reason that I am still following my dream today, a Ph.D. in psychology. I'm about 1 1/2 years away from completing it. He wrote an incredible letter to my graduate school which helped me get accepted. I will dedicate the degree to his memory when I finally receive it. He was a great...

This is just so sad. It is five years since I left Mercy and I had not seen Jim or spoken to him for a few years prior to that. Nevertheless, I know he wil be missed, and I hope Mercy appreciates the Herculean contribution Jim made to that institution.

Marg,
My deepest condolences to you and your family. We at Dr Alex's office were so sorry to hear of your tragic loss. You are in my prayers.
