Not sure what to say?

My thoughts to all, Jim was a true icon in the surety industry.

Eternal Affection Arrangement- BASKET INCLUDED

Jim and I worked together in the surety bond industry collaborating in the eary 60´s, he as an insurance agent and I as an underwriter developing and servicing many commercial construction clients. He encouraged me to join one of our contractor clients as a general manager setting me on a course which ultimately culminated in the start of my insurance agency thus becoming his competitor. Fun times over the years and a common respect as we grew our respective businesses. My wife, Chick, and I...

What a great friend and legendary student and athlete at Central Catholic. We had many great times together. He was not only super smart but really fun! Jim will be missed by many.

So sad to see the last of the Dooney brothers pass. He and Mary Nell were so welcoming to George and me and we so enjoyed seeing all the different homes they owned in the California desert, in Salishan and in Portland. Jim´s football achievements were legendary in the family and he encouraged Kevin Adams to go to Wesleyan to play football there. He was such a successful businessman and well respected in the construction community . He will be sorely missed by his large family.

When I got into his office, he greeted me warmly as was his way. He had a butt going and his large ashtray has about fifty extinguished butts in it! Even back then I was surprised! Good for him! I...

A great high school football player who obviously succeeded in even greater way´s throughout his life.

Many adventures with Jim on and off the football field. He was a grand friend and will be sorely missed by us all. God bless.

Jim represented the Dooney family and help make the DOONEY´s name well known throughout the city of Portland. He was a man among a men. Loved and respected by many. Proud to call him, my friend
