Not sure what to say?

I had the honor of meeting Mr. Dorman while I visited Lynchburg, VA this past fall. I work in college football and we were in town playing Liberty. I attended the local market before our game and that is where I saw Mr. Dorman wearing his veterans hat. I was only able to spend about 10 minutes but it was worth the wait of my lifetime, finally being able to meet a WWII Veteran. He was very genuine and appreciative of me speaking with him. I have been able to meet alot of people in my life...

The University of Lynchburg offers its sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Dorman.

Frances & family - I am so sorry to learn of Jim's passing. I worked with him at Appalachian Power and he was one of the friendliest, happy, "smile on his face all the time" people you would ever meet. The last time I saw him was at Tharp when he and Frances were greeting at the door for a visitation. May God bless each of you with peace, loving memories and comfort in the days to come. Penny Garber

Jim was a intricate part of our Monument Terrace Troop Rslly for several years. We loved talking with him and hearing his personal experiences in WWII. He will be missed by all his Veteran friends at Monument Terrace!
