Miss u papa d always in my heart

I can't believe a year has gone by already. I still miss you Dad and think of you every day! You are such a part of everything I do! I miss you so much and will always love you! I still need my Daddy! Give Gigi a hug and kiss for me. Love you, Your Sue Sue the Beep Beep!

My condolences to the Doten family on Jim's passing. Jim was such a nice man! I met the Doten family over 40 years ago. I was in the same class as Linda and was a very close friend of Kathy and Sue's. Jim and Bev were the best parents! It was always fun to visit at their house in Buckingham. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

Mr. Jim Doten's Pontiac Dealership at 45th and Broadway, Oakland, Ca, and also on Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley, Ca, as I recall, were the places to stop by to ask questions and to chat; I purchased two cars from the Doten Dealership and had I known Mr. Doten was also a canine owner, I would have spent more time there asking questions about our dogs-- my German Shepherds; my Pooldles , and my Grandpa's Chihuahas;. the Doten car salesman, Mr. Larry Kamian, was always available to talk to...

We will always remember how kind and thoughtful Jim was. We got to know him thru the Honda years, and enjoyed our time with Bev, Kathy, Kip and Jim in the "Desert"..Love ya man, Mike & Nancy Lynch

Thinking of my 'second' Papa and missing him.
Love you Bev...deb

Jim was such a fun person, I'll never forget the crazy times Jim, Dick Smith and I had at the dealership and also at Raider games. Some of my greatest memories were shared with Jim and Bev, I will miss him and his smile.

Jim was a wonderful man and we will miss him. We have over 35 years of memories which will always bring a smile to our faces. We've lost a great friend. God Bless Bev and all the Doten family in their loss. We love you guys. Georgene & Steve

I never got a chance to meet Jim Doten although I did grow up in the car business and worked here in the area most of my life.
I know Jim was a good man and I know many good people that will miss him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
