Not sure what to say?

Thinking about you today as we drive by Alsip. ADG Joey.

My dear Jimmy, not a day goes by that I do not talk to you miss you or think of you ! Sometimes I still can't believe your not here with us. I love and miss you everyday. Thank you for watching over us and you will never be forgotten. Me and the kids love you miss you and your always with us. It's almost been 10 years and I still have a hard time accepting it. You will always be my husband xoxo

It has been almost a year since you went home to heaven. Our hearts still ache and the tears still flow but we know you are happy and at peace. As time goes on we realize that you are watching over all of us and helping us to continue with our lives until we meet again. You are a part of who we were, who we are today, and who we will be in the years to come. You are forever in our hearts. All my love, Mom

Thank you Jimmy for these words of wisdom back in 1995. "TO BE UPSET OVER WHAT YOU DON'T HAVE IS TO FORGET WHAT YOU DO HAVE AND WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR OTHERS".

RIP Jimmy. You will never be forgotten!!! You're with alot of good friends now and I can only imagine the party being thrown up in heaven right now! Thinkin Gun's and Roses is playing at the moment! We should all feel safer these days, knowing the Guardian Angels we have looking down on us and protecting us! Rest easy Jimmy!! Your family is in our Prayers..

Sparky...

I had just reconnected with Jim a few months back and was looking forward to a planned visit this summer for Craig's memorial golf tournament.

The Marini family has never forgotten the love and support Jim and the Dougherty family provided my brother and the news of his passing was hard to accept.

He will most certainly be missed.

It is with great sorry that we send along out sympathies to the Dougherty family. We know how terrible it is to lose a son. Jim's family took Craig in when he needed a place to stay in his early Chicago years. Jim was a great friend to our son; and we will never forget him or his family. God rest his soul in peace. May he be with Craig (and Oak) in heaven for all eternity.

To the Dougherty Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Jim-it is such a loss to all those who knew him. I went to St.Mary's with him and will miss him dearly. He was a walking contradiction-strong and tough but kind and sweet. He was a person of substance and I feel fortunate to have known him.

There is no condolence that I can offer that sounds adequate but please know that those who knew him knew he was something special.

My prayers and thoughts are with all of...

Let me start by saying Jim was not just my brother-in-law he was a brother to me as well as a second father to my son Mike. Jim was a man of his word, and I never doubted this, ever! Jim helped me coach T-ball when Mike was playing and that was the time he became Mike's second father. Jim was a great father to his own children and he always knew they were the LOVE of his huge heart. That's the way it is when your children come into this world, everything takes a backseat to your children....
