Uncle Jim,

I have so many fond memories of you, stretching back 50 years, to the day that I was at your wedding. I particularly remember the way that you used to show up at Miami University when I was a student there in the early 70's, and take me out to lunch. Such a welcome break from the cafeteria food.

Joan, my condolences. I know how hard it is to lose a loved one.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. Mr. Dow hired me for my first teaching position at Liverpool Elementary School in 1995. He took a chance on me, when I was fresh out of college and I will always remember him for that!

My sympathies go to Jim's family and friends. He gave me my first teaching position in Fairview 28 years ago. I grew up in SE Ohio & attended OU, so we had many great conversations about people and places we both knew well. Jim was a kind, honest, and caring man who will be missed by all who knew him.
