Not sure what to say?

On the anniversary of Jims passing I want to say I still miss him a lot. When I walk in the beach house. I miss not seeing him and having our talk usually about sports. He loved the Cubs and I would ask him about them and I am a huge Bucs fan so we would talk about the Bucs. I miss our talks. I miss his smile and I miss not seeing him. On the anniversary of his passing I will pray for the Dowdle family and say I miss him and will always remember what great friend he was. Sincerely Brian Murphy

Tothe Dowdle Family: I just learned of Jim's passing from a facebook post someone made to Jeannie. My very deepest sympathy to you all. He was a wonderful man and I know he will be missed terribly. God bless you.

Dear Dowdle Family, We are saddened to her of Jim's passing. My mother states that she has lost a very good friend. Jim set a fine example of a fine man with each step he took through life. He will be missed and remembered by all for many many years to come. Our family is sending your family love and prayers and hugs.

Dear Sally and Family,
We were deeply saddened when we heard of Jim's death. He was one of a kind, a blessing to us all, and he will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
Sending you our deepest sympathy and prayers.
Love,
Margie and Ken

Sally and Family,

I am so so sorry to hear about Jim's passing. I have such wonderful memories of him and all of you, and I shall always treasure them. I send you my deepest sympathy. I have spoken with Mom and she is saddened by your loss. You are in my prayers. My love to all of you.

I always forget until there is a family gathering how many times and ways your extended family has touched my life. Growing up the values that I saw being shared inspired me. Yet it was overwhelming in so many ways to realize what an amazing legacy is living, sharing, growing and hopefully inspiring more of the same. Your dad will be missed but I rejoice in the family that he left behind.

Sally, Jeanne, all of the grandkids, and the entire family,

My condolences to your family. Jim was one of the nicest men I've ever met. I feel honored and very lucky to have known such a wonderful and respected man. My days at Wrigley Field won't be the same without him, but he will always be remembered by seeing the rest of the family on a regular basis at the games. We will all miss Jim terribly.

Sally and family.
What fond memories I have of you all 50+ years ago at Gothwaite in "beautiful" Triangle, VA. Our prayers are with you now as well as our memories. Bill & Sigrid Jackman

He was the best. It was a priviledge to have Jim as a pal. Keep a spot open for us upstairs.
