My deepest condolences to the Dowell's. I was a neighbor since 1967. Mr.Dowell has left an indelible impression in my life when it comes to motorsport fabrication and engine building. Watching him build a myriad of dune buggies, I was finally old enough to buy one of his originals. I remember watching him 'stop' at the middle of Competition Hill at Glamis and he would wait for the next dune buggy to come by and he would race them to the top and still win! He will be missed.

Sorry to read that Mr. Dowell had passed. He a great guy and a great man. He was what the original Chula Vista was all about.
