Jim has always been there, middle school, high school and appearing in my home in Tucson years later. Recently we Tosa "band members" have had wonderful zoom calls with him. At our last meeting with him he looked so thin, but his shining smile was there. He didn't tell us he was near the end. He didn't want to break our joyful moods. That's Jim.

The close friendship that I had with Jim began in junior high school in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and continued throughout our lives. He had great energy and a strong affection and respect for others. His communication skills were phenomenal. I will miss him greatly.
