He was a wonderful man. A fountain of information. He loved life and was one of the most kind and generous men I've known. Both my daughters and my life is richer for having known him.

I met Jim when he first moved to California. We helped a mutual friend load a VW bus body onto a truck to be hauled away to a junk ward. Our friend had bought the bus after it had been wrecked to salvage parts from it for his own car. We hit it off that day and became close friends, our friendship lasting more than 30 years.
Jim was an unassuming, kind, generous person whose life was one adventure after another. I cherish our friendship and am blessed to have many good memories of...

I hadn't seen Jim for years but each Holiday I would receive a new calender for the next year, he helped me and my late husband, Buzz, buy the home I am living in today. I remember seeing Jim at the races and he would come visit me at the shop as well. He was alway happy with a big smile on his face. He will be missed. Now he will be "bench racing" in heaven with the best of them.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Jim was our Broker when we bought the home we have lived in in Spring Valley for the past ten years.... My son Michael, then age 13, was fascinated with Jim's Baja Bug in the garage and... believe it or not, we were discussing Jim's Bug as we camped down at Plaster City for the McMillin 200 off road desert race this past weekend... Mike is now 22.
We would love to hear from any of you regarding Jim's passion for the desert...
