Not sure what to say?

Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and to also let the Groves Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one, James E. Groves III US Army Chief Warrant Officer 3. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the...

I had the privlage to serve with him at fort drum. He is a great man and i am honor to know him my deepest condolences
. I am going to arlington this june i will see him.

I truly am sorry for the family's loss of such a wonderful human being and a very honrable Soldier/Leader. I deployed with Mr Groves October 2009-Nov 2010 (JBAD). He always wore a smile on his face and was a positive and upbeat person, his energy was infectious and he will be missed by many. I feel bad for not being able to make his Memorial Service but I will remember the man who alwys had time for others. God Bless!

Leslie, Jim, Jeanette and Katie ... I am so sorry to hear the sad news about James. We just found out. I know it has been a long, long time and we lost touch, but TJ and I talked about James often. I remember him as the super neat kid who hung out at our house. I remember the high school years and when they both joined their respective services. My heart and my prayers are with you all. Nothing can ever heal the hurt, but from what I've read here he grew up a very special man and continued to...

I served with Groves at Drum, he lived across the hall from me for about two years. It's very sad to have heard the news of his passing. Groves was a good guy, you could always count on him to cheer you up with a joke or a quip. I remember the day he graduated from Air Assault school, he was the first to finish the march and had the honor of carrying the guidon across the finish line - he made us all at 110th MI BN very proud. The Army is definitely a worse place without him. My deepest...

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. James will never be forgotten.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed

But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with...

To the Groves Family, please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your loved one James, and my sincerest gratitude for his service for our country.
God Bless you Chief Warrant Officer James E. Groves...you will not be forgotten.

Soar on with the Angels, Mr. Groves!

This We'll Defend

I had the rare privilege of meeting CWO Groves' father yesterday. Before our chance encounter, I did not know that his son was killed in the line of duty. But when I asked about the bracelet he wore, he explained it was in memory of his son. We spent an hour talking about CWO Groves and how proud he was of his commitment to our country, of his dedication to the men in his unit and of his many accomplishments. It was a sobering reminder that even today our military members risk their lives...
