Not sure what to say?

I just saw the obit and I am devastated. Jim was as one of a kind. I will miss talking to him. He was a dedicated champion of many causes, a creative mind and a strong man of his word. I will never forget him and how he treated me, helped me and embraced my needs like he was my Uncle and always in my corner.

A true hero. Thank you Jim

To the Ecker Family:

Jimmy Ecker will be greatly missed.

He was a friend of Mechelli (Mickail) Family.

Rose and Leo had many dinners at their home where he enjoyed the best Italian dinners.

Rest in Peace & God Bless You.

The Mechelli (Mickail) Family

Dondi,

Bert and I express our deepest sympathies. Jim was a good friend who we will sorely miss. We had a lot of great times together.

I hope time passes quickly for you in your time of grief.

Mitchell

My condolences to the family. May the God of comfort give you strength to cope with your loss.

We have lost a prominent, compassionate attorney in Pittsburgh as well as a man with a kind heart! My deepest sympathy to the entire Ecker family and remember an angel is watching from above.

To Sharon what a great man and father. Worked for him for many years could tell he was a family man and he loved his children> RIP Jim

Jim was one of a kind. As Frank Sinatra would say, he did it his way. He will be missed.

What a loss to the City of Pittsburgh. Mr. Ecker was our Who's Who of the best Defense Attorneys; he was also our local celebrity and he belonged to us. He was exciting to watch and a pleasure to be around. He was known and respected everywhere. He treated all with respect and kindness. This was an incredible attorney who was not at all affected by his tremendous popularity. There is not another like him and that is sad.

Mr. Ecker, Barrister Extraordinaire, you will be missed...
