To Jim's family- He was a great shipmate and a great friend. Sorry to hear of his passing. I served with Jim on the USS Cochino and he was a great guy and I came back with him to New London. A great friend. George A. Wendt Selinsgrove, Pa.

Dear Sue,
I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. It is so hard losing someone you have spent basically your whole life with - I know - I lost my husband, Paul, almost 3 years ago.
Please let me know when the burial services will be at Beaufort National Cemetery.

"Fair Winds and Following Seas Shipmate" on your journey

Retired DC1 USN

Sue and Debbie,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hate to see Jim go. You all have treated me like family since the moment we met and Jim always remembered me though we had only met a few times. I'll miss hearing him serenade Sue at parties and telling those colorful tales that made us all laugh. Jim was such a Dear and he will be greatly missed.

Please know that y'all are in my thoughts and I hope you'll draw strength from the many friends who will be thinking of you...
