Not sure what to say?

James or better yet, (Principal) Edwards made a tremendous impact on my life. He was the principal at Walker Winter while I attended and was the one who recognized and nominated me for the gifted and talented students program. I remember him explaining to my dad why he chose me. Something I read at work today reminded me of him so I decided to look him up. I am sad to hear of his passing and hope the best for his family. We are saddened to think of Jim's passing. He was always an avid supporter of Ypsilanti High School class of '61. I'm sure many classmates have had phone conversations with him about alumni events. Heartfelt condolence for Donna and family, who are recipients of his life well lived.

Sincere condolences from your neighbors. We valued the work you performed for so many years in the WWCSD, and extend sympathy to each of those who who fortunate to know you.

Dad, My heart is broken. I love and miss you more than words could ever describe. Russ

Jim has been such a good friend to Sig and me. We enjoyed his love and laughter for a countless number of years. We will miss him so much. He was a true gentleman and a gift in our lives. Blessings to all of you and peace to our dear friend.

I met Jim in 1970 at Wildwood. It was my first year of teaching and Jim taught physical education.."Gym teacher", back then. I believe there were 500 or so students and he knew each and every one by name. "Mr. Edwards" was a pretty impressive guy!

So sorry to hear of the passing of Jim. We were both members of the YHS swim team. My condolences to the family! God bless!
