Not sure what to say?

I am saddened by the passing of my 5th grade teacher who put up with nothing less than my best, which has served me well over the years I pray he rests well just knowing he gave his best Barbara Jean Wilson

Heaven better be ready for "Efinger Mile" hikes, canoeing and Bolton Biscuits! As many others, I was privileged to have Jim as a Scout Master and 5th grade teacher. I was especially happy to reconnect with Jim and his family just a few years ago. He is missed. I am so thankful for the inspiration Jim brought every day to scouts and school. Jim, thank you and God bless!

Teacher, leader, mentor, friend, Jim lived the values he espoused. His values will live on in all the people he touched because that was one of his values. He will be missed but, his legacy will live on.
Our family wishes
Peace and
Grace to all who have been touched by his life.

Mr. Efinger was my teacher and I liked him very much. He took the time to build true relationships with his students. He even played with us during recess!

Our condolences to the Efinger family. We feel lucky to have known him and appreciated his willingness to visit us with Grandpa and Anita. My boys loved hearing his Boy Scout, teaching and Adirondack stories.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

Like so many other young men who grew up in Lawrence Township in the 60s or 70s, I was privileged to be a member of BSA Troop 28. Jim Efinger taught us life skills as well as the BSA skills and we are all the better for it. Jim was that rare breed of person-service to God and country as well as a teacher/mentor/leader to all of us. He gave selflessly of himself.

My thoughts and prayers with the Efinger family,

Edward J. Rowland
Eagle Scout Troop 28

I am so fortunate to have known Mr. Efinger as my fifth grade teacher and my scoutmaster. He was and is one of my lifetime heroes. My condolences to the family, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Memories of Uncle Jim are many, from seeing him in the back yard screen house, making his famous pancakes, and of course always with pipe in hand. His stories were also great, even though I heard most of them more than once. He was a complete man, loyal to his family, his church, his country, his profession and his beloved Boy Scouts. Uncle Jim I will remember you as a big man with an even bigger personality. We will ALL miss you, but you will always be with us. RIP
