We will fondly remember Jim for his smile and continual kindness to our entire family. He has readily accepted Jim into the family and has been such a great teacher to all by his service, helpfulness, and kindness to others. He will always be loved and greatly missed.

Jim was one of the first people I met when I started working at NIST. While I left the Washington, DC area many years ago and now live in Rochester, NY, we have had occasional contact through the years. I remember the warmth of Jim's smile, his sense of humor and the easy way that he had in engaging with people.
