James Michael Eitel

I just learned about Mr. Eitel passing away today. I was watching a commercial on tv here in Colorado Springs. The commercial show some people cross country skiing. Which lead me to think of him. See Mr. Eitel was the principal at Sabin Junior High when I attended. One day he took all the Black students who were in the 8th grade to his cabin for the day. I can still picture that place in my mind now. He introduced us all to cross-country skiing because none of us had done that or even ski....

I attended Washington Irving Junior High while Mr Eitel was our principal. He was a wonderful person. He treated all of the students with respect. Rest in peace.

I send my sincere condolences during this very difficult time. May you all find comfort from the words found at 1 Thessalonians 4:14.

Can't say I worked with Jim because it was all for students. Outside of getting to be creative in teaching, camping trips, train trips and rafting with kids were just fun. God give Jim a gold star for his caring.

Jim was so fun and full of joy. When I think of him, he just makes me smile. Rest in peace Jim.

I golfed with Jim in Sun City Summerlin for many years. Jim was one of the good guys!! He will be missed.
