Not sure what to say?

I recently found out that Jimmy is no longer with us and I am deeply saddened. I went to Davidson my freshman year (1970-71) and had a class with Jimmy. That's when I met him and the only time I saw Jimmy until years later when I was visiting my Mother in Mobile. Mother lived in Cromwell Place, and one time while I was in her front yard, Jimmy drove by and we talked for a little bit. I always liked him, he was a sweet guy and had an infectious smile. It was a highlight of my visit to...

Jim Elliott, what a great guy. I must share this story with all. I was fishing South of the causeway one day and was not having that much luck when I say Jim fishing solo in his Stauter built boat. Jim was waiving me over with one hand and was bowed up with a redfish in the other hand. As I motored up he landed the fish and had allready hooked another one. He told me to tie on to his boat and catch some of the redfish he was in to. I was in a hurry to get back to the ramp and did not have...

Small in stature, Large in heart. Jim was one of my best friends, and we shared a world together on the delta. I will dearly miss that unbelievably cheerful enthusiam that he radiated everywhere he went.

Jimmy was such a genuine soul who loved his girls and cherished is friends. May he be with God, we on earth will surely miss his kind words and engaging smile.

The world is a lesser place without friends like Yimmy. We will all miss him.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Jimmy's passing. I was a schoolmate of his at Davidson, and was a friend of his over the years. May the Lord give his family and friends peace and mercy during this difficult time. I will be praying for each of you.

Jim was a great guy. A very nice person. He'll be missed dearly.

Mr. Elliott was a special person. He always had a kind word or smile as he walked by. He will be sadly missed.

"Smart we like, Smart-elec we don't"
One of the many original sayings Jimmy had that made me smile. Thanks for the memories friend. You were very special. See you in heaven.........
