Not sure what to say?

My association with Jim was when we both worked part-time as Recreation Supervisors for the Wichita Park Board in the early 1960's. He was a wonderful person to work with and had a great sense of humor. I especially remember while playing golf one summer at Clapp Golf Course I saw Jim who was working the summer there. We chatted for a while and then he took off running to his next task. He ran everywhere he went on that golf course. Imagine that?

Godspeed Jim, and thank you for...

Etta, I feel very fortunate to have known you and Jim. Please accept my condolences.

We have lived next door to Jim and Etta for almost 18 years, and we couldn't have asked for better neighbors. My daughter, Rachel, was in his History class at Truesdell 1989-1990, and for some time after we moved next door in 1993, I had a difficult time calling him "Jim" because he was "Mr. Enders!" My husband, Wayne, is going to miss all of the handy RVing tips he had to offer us, and I'll miss his friendly greeting, "Hello Neighbor!" when he would see us in the backyard, along with so many...

Mr. Enders was my 7th grade teach at Independence Junior High. He was a friend of my brother, Bobby Joe Mercer, when they were in high school. He was a favorite of all of us. He lingers significantly in our junior high memories as one of the best. My sympathy to his family. Paula (Mercer) Bryan

Mrs. Enders, Bonn street would never have been the best street without the Enders family. What great memories growing up. Having your family as part of the "Bonn family" and of the "school family" was absolutely a treasure. I think Coach new how much I loved to run the backstops at Truesdell which started and sparked my own sporting desires. How wonderful to find out that my husband had you as a teacher at Cleveland and to this day remembers the lunches at your home. May you have Peace...

Coach Enders was larger then life at Truesdell. Thanks Coach for your years of kindness to a bunch of brand new teenagers. We were a mess and you loved us thru it. Most of us survived because of teachers like you. Blessing to your family,

Dear Enders Family,
I was a very young and new teacher at Truesdell Jr. High when I first met Coach Enders. My father-in-law, Lonnie Wood, had been Supt. of Montgomery County, and had originally hired Mr. Enders as a science teacher.
Since I had married an Independence, Ks. man--Warren Wood- Coach Enders and I struck up an immediate conversation.
On my very tough first days at teaching, Coach Enders was there to lend support, and help me take everything in stride.
I shall...
