James S. Erwin

Dear Anne and Family,

My family and I want to let you know we are thinking of you and send our deepest sympathy.

I have many fond memories of my time working in the law office and on the campaign trail. Jim touched so many lives in all his endeavors.

We are sorry for your loss, but know you have many cherished memories of your lives together.

My deepest condolences to the family. I met Mr. Erwin through his daughter Shelly. As a teenager in York, I worked at the York Harbor Marina and used to ride the bus with the Erwin children. Shelly used to give sailing lessons at the marina and I would get the puffins ready for her classes.

I am deeply sorry to learn of Mr Erwin's death. While I did not have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Erwin, his reputation was well known throughout the State. I lived in York County for many years. I believe his daughter and her husband were students of my brother in-law (Dennis A Libby, Phd) at Yale. My family stayed in their condo, in California, during a visit with Dennis many years ago. My deepest condolences to the entire family. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
