Not sure what to say?

I knew Jim and was associated with him through the electrical industry from 1963 until I retired in 2001. We had many good laughs over the years, he kidding me for being an Okie I always said he made a wise choice leaving Texas. He will be greatly missed by all. My prayers and condolences go out to all his family.
John "Okie" Daugherty, Mountain Home, AR

I attended Grace while I went to Cal Poly and James & Pat "adopted" me! I enjoyed many meals & stories at their home and smiles and hugs from both of them at church. My prayers for peace in your hearts as you have confidence in his presence with the Lord.

I worked and knew Jim from CMC. He was one of the nicest and most decent man I ever met. I will never forget his smile. He will be greatly missed.

You will be missed by many Dear Friend Jim. We had many great
conversations over the years. Delia liked you very much.
Jesse Norris, San Luis Obispo

Although we lived out of the area for years, I could always count on Jim's warm greeting when we visited Grace Church. He was one of those people you just don't forget.

Jimmy, I will miss you. I always looked forward to you coming into P.I.E. and sitting in my office, drinking coffee and telling me stories of your days in the Marine Corps and the Korean War. You were truly a wonderful person and you always cheered me up!

Jimmy, you were a wonderful friend and such a caring person. I will always remember seeing you at Cool Cats eating lunch and sometimes even coming over to our table and sitting down with us and talking. I will treasure the...

Brent and Tom and families:
Jim was a wonderful friend who came to visit us often. I will miss his wonderful smile and great outlook on life and he was a proud Marine. The best part is that he loved the Lord and he knew where he was going some day, and now he's there!! He will be missed by many.

My sympathy and condolences to Margaret and Betty and all of the many other Estes. I will never forget walking into the Estes Family Christmas Eve gathering in 1988. Jim's nephew, Terry was parking the car and had told me to just go into the back room. Little did I know that I was walking into what looked like hundreds of Estes. I must have looked like a deer in headlights because then Jim said, Welcome to the Estes family and made me feel right at home. I am sorry he is gone and will be...

I had met Jim several years ago. He liked to come into our restaurant, Caruso's, and have a nice lunch. I got to know him when I questioned his hat, a Marine Corps. hat. I enjoyed his smile and friendship. After we sold, I would see him at various places around town and always enjoyed our conversations. I will miss him and his pride in being a Marine.
