Not sure what to say?

Although I didn't know mr Evans, I felt I wanted to express my sincerest condolences to the family and friends. I am so sorry for your loss. Your family will be in my prayers. (John 11:1-44)

I am very sorry to hear of Jay's death. I just ran across this notice while doing genealogic research. Although you do not know me, my mother was Mary Athlyn Crews Douglass, half sister of Stella Crews Henry. My mother and Jay's grandmother, Edna V Evans (her niece) were very close and she often spoke of "Jimmie", Jay's father. If anyone is interested in Crews family history please feel free to contact me. [email protected]

My deepest sympathy to all his family. I remember Jay from our wonderful band days . A very polite person and great player. I will remember him !

I am so sorry to hear of Jay's passing. I remember the entire Evans family being such good family friends growing up, and then Jay and I got to be in the BA Marching Band together as fellow trombone players. So many great memories. We lost touch with each other as he went to SMU and I went to Texas Tech and our lives moved on, but I would hear about him through other friends through the years. Please know that his spirit is alive and in our hearts.

Rest in Peace Jay. You will be missed.

So very sad to learn that this world has lost a very selfless person. He enjoyed helping and giving of himself, even in high school. I have no doubt Heaven welcomed him with open arms. May our Lord and Saviour wrap His loving arms around his family and give them the peace and comfort they need at this time.

I am so sorry to learn of Jay's death. I did not know him but my husband and I knew his father and know Jane from when we served at EDCC.
Jay sounds like a wonderful son and my deepest regrets to the family.
