Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences on the loss of two wonderful people whose many contributions and accolades will ensure that although they have left this world behind, they will live on in the memories of the hearts of those they impacted. The Dorsey's were beloved parents to our family friend, James. May the many happy memories you cherish ease the pain of their passing.

The positive impact that Jeanne and Admiral Dorsey had on me is beyond measure. It started while I was Admiral Dorsey's Flag Lieutenant at Third Fleet. Later in retirement, I enjoyed their friendship, humor, grace, genuine warmth and support. It was a pleasure and honor to have know them. They both enriched my life and I miss them. To Tim, James and your families, you have my deepest condolences.

I am saddened to learn of Admiral and Mrs Dorsey´s passing. I served under him in Stuttgart and he was a wonderful leader. Mrs Dorsey was a funny one having been interviewed after her trip to Russia, as I recall. My deepest sympathies to all who knew and loved them. Semper Fi, GySgt Coleman

Just remember her class was one I thoroughly enjoyed. I asked her to attend my Eagle Scout ceremony and she mentioned she would be teaching English in Japan.

Ms. Dorsey was one of my favorite characters and teachers in HS @ Grossmont High La Mesa. She absolutely loved her teaching position and made learning such fun. I´m not surprised that such a wonderful woman supported her Naval Aviator Husband during wonderous journey in life. Thanks for the memories and thanks for your Military Service. Godspeed Class of 76

My condolences to the Dorsey family. Your parents were amazing people. We lived down the street from you on Fuerte Drive and my Brother was in your Mothers English class at Grossmont. We all have good memories of your parents.

It´s been 42 years since I was a student in Mrs. Dorsey´s 11th grade English class at Bayside HS in Virginia Beach. I fondly remember her twinkling eyes, bright smile, and coiffed hair! She was one of my favorite teachers ever! If I remember correctly, she and VADM Dorsey were invited to the White House for a special dinner during Reagan´s first term. She came to class in the days prior with a new hair color that didn´t quite go as planned. In her own words, she likened her appearance to...
