JAMES F. AHERN, SR., age 87, beloved husband of the late Eileen (nee Masterson); loving father of James F. Jr. (Karen), Kathleen Curran (Tim), Michael (Mary) and Eileen Getz (Grant); proud Grandpa of 15; great-Grandpa of 5; son of the late Elizabeth (nee Goggin) and John Ahern; dear brother of John "Jack" (Nancy) (both deceased), Richard “Hank” (Blanche) (both deceased), Maureen Banach (deceased) (Dan), Raymond, William (deceased) (Elaine), Patricia Toncar (Jim), Bryan (deceased) (Kathy) and Geraldine “Geri” Krencik (Chuck); beloved uncle, great-uncle, and friend of many, especially Klara Toth.  U.S. Army veteran – Korea.  Passed away April 1, 2021.  Funeral Mass Tuesday, April 6, Our Lady of Angels Church (3644 Rocky River Dr.) at 10 A.M.  (the Mass will also be livestreamed on the Chambers Funeral Homes Facebook page) Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD., MONDAY 5-7 P.M.  Please observe all Covid-19 safety guidelines.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Monastery of the Poor Clares, 3501 Rocky River Dr., Cleveland, OH 44111.

Jimmy was a proud husband, father, friend and Irishman. Many an evening was spent with him enjoying the music and sharing stories at Darby O'Tooles. My condolences to his extended family.

Deeply Sorry to read of Jim's passing. Truly a genuine gentleman, and good friend. He will be missed. May he rest in God's Loving Care.

Deepest sympathy to all of Jim's family and friends. He was a true gentleman and we have many lovely memories of him. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a Anam dhilís ( May his gentle soul be at God's right hand) ❤.

Deepest Sympathy to all the Ahern, Getz and Curran families, We were all so fond of Jim and have the Greatest memories of him on his visits to Achill/ Ireland and our trips to Cleveland....he was such a kind, positive and helpful gentleman and we have great memories of him
