FAGAN, Mr. James Edward-age 68, of Flint, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his residence.  Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 with a 10:30 a.m. family hour at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel, 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507.  Apostle Ruby Johnson officiating.  Calling hours for Mr. James Fagan are 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel.


Mr. James Edward Fagan (Affectionally known as the Lowrider) was born December 13, 1949 in Pineville, LA the son of Elisha and Rosa Fagan. Mr. James Fagan moved to Flint, MI in 1969 to work for General Motors and he also worked for the MTA. Mr. Fagan was a very outgoing, loved to dress in the latest fashions and listen to music. He enjoyed playing chess, traveling especially to see his siblings. He loved all his brothers and adored his only sister. He was the life of the party when entering a room.

Mr. James Edward Fagan leaves to cherish in his memory: daughter, Melissa (Johnny) Russell of Detroit, MI; 3 granddaughters, Ja'Lisa, Ja'Nay and Ja'Quaillia Russell all of Detroit, MI; Grandson, Johnny V. Russell Jr. of Detroit, MI; great granddaughter, Ja'Laia Jones; 4 nephews, James Smith, Darrel Fagan of Flint, MI, Devin Fagan of Escondido, CA and Marcus Fagan of Long Beach, CA; 3 nieces, Rashonda Fagan of Flint, MI, Natasha Fagan of Seattle, WA and Ashley Treadwell of Atlanta, GA; 2 aunts, Violet H. Holly of Jonesville, LA and Cloteal Lollie of Seattle, WA; 3 cousins, Alvin Fagan of Texas, Norma Fagan and Curtis Fagan; in-laws, Dallas Fagan of Flint, MI; host of other relatives and friends including special companion, Sharon Davis; friends, Rita Fagan of Detroit, MI, Roy Shavers Sr. of Flint, MI and Willie Johnson of Texas.



Mr. James Edward Fagan was preceded in death by: special companion: Sharon Davis; parents: Elisha and Rosa Fagan; brother, Guy Fagan; grandparents, Isaac and Nancy W. Fagan and brother in-law, Mark Treadwell.

The family would like to express special thanks to: The Davis Family, The Gregory Family, Rita Fagan and Sheldon T. Banks  owner and staff.
