Jim was a good lawyer and a good guy. I will miss him

Single Memorial Tree

AS a former prosecutor in Dorchester County and current criminal defense lawyer, I had the opportunity to work with Jim many times. He was one of those lawyers that was just a nice and decent guy. He gave lawyers a good name.I never heard anyone say anything negative about him. That is quite a feat for a lawyer. I always liked having to deal with Jim. I know his wife and family lost a great guy and I just want to say thank you to them for sharing Jim us. He was a good one and I was...

My family lived down the street from the Falk family in Prospect when I was a boy in the 1970s. Jimmy was somewhat older than I was, but I remember him well. He and his family were wonderful people, great friends, and good neighbors. My condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones.

We are shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Jim's departure. Our hearts are with you, Morgan, and your family and friends. There are no sufficient words.

I have never met Jim but I felt like I knew him through the many conversations with Miss Morgan. I pray that God will give your family the strength, the calmness and harmony to get through this challenging time while also knowing that his memory is always in our hearts. Giovanna Evans

I litigated opposite Jim for a decade in circuit court. He was brilliant, thorough, and loyal to his clients and the law. And he was a friend, "old school," someone you could battle with in court and then have lunch with afterwards and talk about family. To Morgan, who I was fortunate to meet, and the children, my sincere condolences. His passing is a great loss to you, the legal community, and Charleston.
