Obituary

FARE, Dr. James "Jim" V. Jr., 70, of Ashland, went to be with the Lord July 31, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Carmen L. Fare; daughter, Cheryl Fare-Tormey and her husband, Patrick; and son, Loren J. "Larry" Fare and his wife, Jane; grand-children, Denise, Hayden, Michael and James "Jake"; sister, Hazel Nugent; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Worland, Wyo., Mr. Fare was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a retiree of the Federal Government, held a Doctorate in Business Administration, and also taught for many years and was an avid golfer and fly fisherman. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Bliley's - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd. Interment will be held at 9 a.m. August 4 at the Church of Our Saviour Cemetery in Montpelier. Memorial services will take place at 12 noon at Bliley's - Staples Mill.
