Condolences to the family. Jim is a man will truly be missed. The ways he cared about the environment ( rode his bike to work, picked up plastics along the way) is something touched my heart. RIP Jim.

Mr. Farrell worked with me during my twenty-seven year tenure as a Superior Court judge. He was an expert interpreter. He even developed a work pattern perhaps unique to Middlesex County: that an interpreter translating simultaneously could work only for thirty minutes (or so) without a break. We shared a connection with Merida, a Mexican city which I visited years ago, and which I found compelling. Jim was a real gentleman, and a very courteous and nice person. Reading his obituary, and realizing the amazing background he had, he was nevertheless very simple and humble, Certainly a loss for everyone. He will be missed.
