My sincerest sympathies to Jim's family, friends and colleagues. Jim was a trusted friend and colleague. He cheered me on as I completed the MPA program at Brockport and taught me to lead in service of others. He was an ethical man, kind, compassionate and smart. I will miss him.

Jim was an energetic and enthusiastic colleague who seemed to have limitless energy. I will miss his presence and the enthusiasm he brought to all he did.

Jim was a very kind, generous man and spent much time helping others. He will be deeply missed at The College at Brockport.

The Brockport community, and our MPA program, has truly suffered a great loss. I'm deeply saddened. He will surely be missed.

Dr. Fatula guided many through the MPA program at Brockport with his selfless assistance. His gentle, quiet devotion to doing the right thing was palpable. He will be dearly missed. My sincere sympathy to his family and colleagues.

I send my condolences to Jim's family. He will be greatly missed in the Rochester community. As an educator and community volunteer, Jim quietly helped us ask hard questions and find better ways. He was admired by his students and was mentor to many on the faculty (me included).He shared his health finance expertise, especially through WXXI's Bob Smith show. Dr. Fatula is the reason I am where I am today. He went above and beyond for his students and truly loved what he did. I will never forget the extra hours he spent with me as a student and the friendship in which we cultivated. He will be sorely missed.
